Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  • 2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into smaller pieces. Add the diced onion and cook until soft.
  • 3. Spread the beef and onion mixture in the pie dish and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • 4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour over the beef and cheese.
  • 5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  • 6. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute ground turkey or chicken. You can also add vegetables for extra flavor.
