Hi, I’m Christopher. Welcome to my Kitchen!

Hello and welcome to Christopher Recipes! I’m Christopher, the home cook, photographer, and recipe tester behind this blog.
While I truly believe the kitchen is the heart of the home, I also know it can be a stressful place—especially when you’re staring at an empty fridge after a long day. That is exactly why I started this site in 2023: to demystify complicated baking techniques and make weeknight dinners simple again.
Who Am I?
I am not a classically trained chef wearing a tall white hat. I am a busy dad and food enthusiast living in New York.
My journey with food didn’t start in a culinary school; it started in a small college apartment where I had to learn to cook delicious meals on a strict budget. That experience taught me a vital lesson that I still live by today: great food doesn’t require expensive ingredients.
Since then, I have spent thousands of hours in the kitchen experimenting with flavors to help you make restaurant-quality food without the fancy equipment.
How I Test My Recipes (My Promise to You)
We have all been there—you follow an online recipe exactly, and it still fails. I hate that feeling. That is why I take recipe testing seriously before I ever hit “publish.”
- Real Kitchens, Real Results: I test every single recipe in my own standard home kitchen, not a professional studio. If a recipe works for me on a busy Tuesday night, I know it will work for you.
- Accessible Ingredients: I strictly use ingredients you can find at a normal supermarket. You shouldn’t have to hunt down specialty items just to make dinner.
- Troubleshooting: I try to anticipate where you might get stuck and provide tips to fix it before it happens.

I love seeing what you create! If you make one of my dishes, please tag me on Pinterest or send me a message. Hearing from you makes all the testing worth it.
